Andrew Choi will be taking up a new role as chief financial officer for North American Division Retirement Services on May 1 after nearly 20 years of service to the Chesapeake Conference. Choi has most recently served in Chesapeake as associate treasurer and auditor.
“Through the years, many of our schools and churches have been greatly blessed by Andrew’s dedication and commitment to the mission and ministry of Chesapeake Conference,” says Jerry Lutz, president of Chesapeake Conference. “Though he will be missed in Chesapeake, his giftedness for business and finance, and faithfulness in the service of the Lord, will continue to benefit the church in his new position at the North American Division.”
Choi began working in Chesapeake in July 2001 as business manager for Highland View Academy (Hagerstown, Md.). In November 2008, Choi accepted a call to serve as associate treasurer for Chesapeake Conference.
“I am so thankful to Eduardo Munoz for teaching and mentoring me through the years and grateful for how God has guided me for the last 20 years,” says Choi. “I truly enjoyed assisting our churches and schools and I am excited and look forward to what God has in store for this new chapter in my life. My Chesapeake family will be greatly missed.”
“Chesapeake was blessed and lucky to have Andrew as part of our work family for all these years,” says Eduardo Munoz, treasurer of Chesapeake Conference. “It’s going to be hard finding a replacement because Andrew did amazing work. We are sad to see Andrew go but he is leaving us great memories. Thank you, Andrew for giving us your best and we will always be grateful for your contribution to the Chesapeake Conference.”
