It's back to school time and many parents in our communities are ensuring their children have the necessary school supplies to start off the academic year well. But in the midst of all the rushing back and forth to stores, it is easy to forget something more significant.

If you are a parent I want to ask you one of the most important questions I can ask concerning your children. In the unlikely event of your passing, whom do you want as the guardian of your children? Where will they live? Who will ensure they attend Adventist schools or even places of worship? Do you have all of this in writing yet?

To develop an estate plan means you make these critical decisions in advance of any tragedy. Your forethought ensures your Christian wishes for your children lives will be followed. If you pass away intestate, that is without a will or other estate plan, the governmental system executes estate and familial choices as they decide.

The following two short videos that highlight the importance of having an estate plan: "Children with No Guardianship!" and "A Young Family, Do We Need a Will?" Irrespective of your age, young or old, these videos highlight that its best not to put off answering these crucial questions.

Why not add “Christian Estate Plan” to your to-do list?
