ACTS is part of the Chesapeake Conference’s church planting strategy and support system. It is a year-long program for pastors or lay leaders who want to receive specialized training and be equipped in the area of church planting.

ACTS consists of four 2-day modules that meet once a quarter. Each module equips a person in a specific area of church planting. The Chesapeake Conference and the North American Division Evangelism Institute work together to provide this powerful, relevant, and specialized training for church planters or those interested in church planting. Most of the presenters are actual church planters.

Requirements to Be Part of the ACTS Cohort:

  1. Be leading out in or involved in a current church plant.   Or be planning to start a church plant in the next 12 months.
  2. Commit to attending all four modules.
  3. Do the assigned homework in between modules. (This usually consists of reading a book or other resource).
  4. Meet with your coach in between modules. (Each cohort participant receives a coach to provide guidance, encouragement, and prayer support).

2024 Dates for ACTS Cohort

Module 1 (January 29-30):  The Health and DNA of the Planter
Module 2 (April 8-9):  Forming Your Vision and Recruiting a Core Team
