Adventurers Converge at Harpers Ferry Despite Rain Threat

  • News

More than 200 Adventurers participated in this year’s annual Adventurer Fun Day.

Overcast skies and the possibility of rain didn’t deter the spirits of more than 200 Adventurers from the Chesapeake Conference who gathered at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park for the annual Adventurer Fun Day.

The event, which saw participation from 15 churches, allowed Adventurers and their families to explore the park and engage in the park’s Junior Ranger activities. The highlight for many was the lesson on habitats, which Adventurers needed to complete the required curriculum for the Adventurer Habitat Award.

Ann Reynolds, Children’s Ministries director for Chesapeake Conference, said she was thrilled to see the close-knit bonds displayed between parents and their kids throughout the day’s activities. “Adventurers is all about family,” she said.
