Calvary Church Welcomes Pastor Shelvan Arunan
Arunan will also continue to serve as pastor of the Mizo Church.

Shelvan Arunan was installed as the pastor of the Calvary Church in Burtonsville, Md., on April 9 during the Sabbath worship service.
Arunan fills the role previously held by J.J.S. Moses, who passed away in January. Arunan will also continue to serve as the pastor of the Mizo Church.
“Pastor Shelvan Arunan has been a blessing to a couple of our churches here in Chesapeake,” says Eli Rojas, Chesapeake Conference ministerial director. “He brings together his experience and skills in chaplaincy, counseling, conflict resolution, and passion for pastoral ministry. For the last three years, he’s served as pastor for the Mizo Seventh-day Adventist Church…We are looking forward to the blessings God will bring to these two churches through Pastor Arunan’s ministry and the strong and capable lay leadership that we have in both congregations.”
Arunan is excited to join his new congregation.
“I enjoy and appreciate the conference leadership and their support for my ministry,” Arunan says. “My wife, Rajee, and I are dedicated and committed to ‘feed lambs.’ With the help of the Lord and Holy Spirit, it is my dream to build the Calvary Church spiritually and emotionally healthy and feed lambs so that they will be committed to witnessing and spreading the three angels’ message.”
