The Chesapeake Conference kickstarted a two-year Elder and Volunteer Lay Pastor Certification program with a training event held at the conference office (Columbia, Md.) on February 1. This certification initiative will equip leaders to hone their skills through a series of biblically-based workshops. The inaugural training session provided insight into developing the pastor-elder team and how to conduct meaningful visitations.
