Chesapeake Adventist Community Services Responds to COVID-19 Pandemic

President Rick Remmers speaks with Ignacio Goya, Adventist Community Services (ACS) director, via Zoom to discuss how Chesapeake is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chesapeake Adventist Community Services (ACS) department is coordinating with local churches and a team of trained volunteers to respond to the coronavirus outbreak by establishing the following: 

  • A network of 16 church-based Food Pantries 
  • An Emotional and Spiritual Care Hotline (English and Spanish)
  • Four Medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Donation Centers in partnership with Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA)
