Chesapeake Conference Commits $539,561 to Local Church Evangelism in 2026

The Chesapeake Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has committed $539,561 to fund evangelism and outreach initiatives across its territory in 2026, supporting 138 programs at 46 churches and ministries in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Of the total, $434,561 has been designated for English-speaking congregations and $105,000 for other-language-speaking churches, reflecting the breadth of the conference’s outreach across diverse communities.
“Evangelism is the reason this conference came into existence, and it will be the way we complete our mission. We continue to prioritize evangelism across our churches and schools, and we are delighted to partner with every local entity to help share the Good News throughout our territory,” said Andre Hastick, President of the Chesapeake Conference.
The subsidy process is coordinated through the conference’s Evangelism and Church Growth department.

“This is an opportunity for churches to partner with the conference and receive support for evangelism initiatives. Every church in the conference is eligible to apply for evangelism subsidies. These subsidies help churches run evangelistic, community-oriented outreach events and initiatives that reach people for Christ and that they might not be able to do on their own,” said David Klinedinst, Evangelism and Church Growth Director.
With several months remaining in 2026, churches that have not yet used their full allocation are encouraged to plan events before the year’s end. Congregations that have not yet applied for evangelism support can contact the conference’s Evangelism and Church Growth department to learn how to take part.
The conference plans to open the application cycle for 2027 evangelism subsidies next month.
