Chesapeake Pastors Attend ACTS Church Planting Training

From March 15 to 16, several Chesapeake pastors attended the fourth module of the ACTS Church Planting Support System training. The training equips pastors for several aspects of church planting including formulating a vision, recruiting a core team, activating ministries in the community and launching a church.

“We have 11 planters from Chesapeake in this ACTS cohort,” says David Klinedinst, evangelism and church growth director for Chesapeake Conference. “The requirement is that they must be planting a church as they go through each of the modules. A new group of planters will begin with the next ACTS cohort in the first quarter of 2022.”

The Chesapeake Conference has a goal to plant 35 churches by the year 2025.

Speakers for this module included Tim Madding, Abraham Newball, Dustin Serns, Anthony WagenerSmith and Greg Whitsett.
