David Buruchara Speaks for HVA Week of Prayer
The week of prayer focused on the importance of relationships.

Highland View Academy held a fall week of prayer from Oct. 3-8 with guest speaker David Buruchara, co-host of the podcast “Down to Earth with the Buruchararas.”
Buruchara’s presentations focused on giving students practical applications for their relationships with parents, significant others, teachers, and, most importantly, God. Buruchara shared morning and evening worship thoughts during the week and held Q&A sessions with students Wednesday-Friday. He concluded his series during the worship service at the Highland View Academy church on Sabbath.
Students also participated and led out during the week of prayer. Student musicians helped provide music for services, and class leaders organized prayer activities. One of the week’s major highlights was an agape feast and communion service on Friday night.
“I hope this week of prayer impacted students enough to help them want to seek changes in their lives and seek better relationships,” says Elijah Ramjattan, academy chaplain. “I hope they realize that the ultimate relationship that’s really going to change them for the better is their relationship with Jesus.”
