The congregation reflected on its roots and looked to the future during a two-day anniversary celebration.

The Dover First (Del.) church celebrated its 105th anniversary during a special worship service on Nov. 19.
The day featured music, testimonies, and a retelling of the church’s history. Members also celebrated two baptisms that resulted from the congregation’s recent evangelistic series, which ended the previous evening.
Javier Scharon, Dover First pastor, says it was great to spend a day reflecting on how God has led the congregation for over a century. “Throughout the years and through different leadership, the values of Adventist education, evangelism, and discipleship never changed,” he says.
