Highland View Church hosts Youth and Young Adult Weekend
Guest speaker Justin Kim calls young people to commit their best years to serving Christ

Highland View Church in Hagerstown, Md., recently hosted a Youth and Young Adult Weekend Feb. 13–14, drawing young people from several area churches.
The weekend featured Justin Kim, editor of the Adventist Review, as guest speaker. Kim spoke on Friday evening and Sabbath morning, with messages centered on Adventist identity and what it means for young people to give the best years of their lives in service to Jesus. On Sabbath, Kim made an appeal for young adults to commit their lives to serving Christ, and dozens responded. He also challenged older members present to invest in and support the ministry of the next generation.
The weekend concluded with a vespers presented by Elijah Ramjattan, Highland View Academy campus chaplain, followed by a game night.
“It can be hard for young adults to find community,” said Ramjattan. “This weekend was about helping them connect with each other and encouraging them to seek Adventist Christian community.”
