Hispanic Ministries Hosts Online Virtual Camp Meeting

On June 12-13, the Hispanic Ministries of the Chesapeake Conference, led by Orlando Rosales, Multilingual Ministries director for the Chesapeake Conference, held an online Camp Meeting experience in place of the usual annual in-person event. Hundreds watched from home as guest speaker, Pastor Helmer Tavera Bueno, spoke and inspired those who gathered online. The musical group Extrangeros also shared inspirational musical selections each day.

The weekend was filled with prayer, worship, and special programs, including a Sabbath School lesson presented by various Chesapeake Conference Hispanic church pastors. To conclude the weekend, Ruben Ramos, vice president of Multicultural Ministries for the Columbia Union, presented reports on how the gospel is being preached and effectively spread to the Spanish-speaking population throughout the union and world.
