Hope Shared Through Online Evangelism Series

By David Klinedinst, evangelism and church growth director for the Chesapeake Conference

David Klinedinst shares a message during the Forecasting Hope series.

The Chesapeake Conference recently partnered with the Columbia Union and SermonView to produce a nationwide online evangelistic series entitled “Forecasting Hope: Prophecies of the Second Coming.” From October 9 to November 2, over 100 churches in North America, including 30 from Chesapeake, participated in broadcasting the online prophecy series to their local communities.

Online evangelism is a wonderful opportunity to reach more people. The virtual format of this series allowed viewers to interact with the local church by requesting free resources, submitting questions and comments, as well as sharing prayer requests. Night by night, it was a blessing to see viewers responding with requests for baptism and further Bible study. COVID-19 may still be affecting us, but it doesn’t need to stop our soul-winning and evangelistic efforts.

Ashley, a Forecasting Hope viewer from Delaware, began Bible studies with a Chesapeake pastor and looks forward to being baptized. We thank the Lord for reaching people like Ashley and so many others through this online evangelistic effort.

You can access the Forecasting Hope series on YouTube and on DVD. I encourage you to share this Christ-centered, positive and Biblically-sound prophecy series with someone you know.
