Jenner Becerra Ordained to the Gospel Ministry

Jenner Becerra was ordained to the gospel ministry on Sabbath, July 25, at the Living Word church. Though in-person seating was limited due to coronavirus-related restrictions, a Facebook Live video feed was shared for additional guests to participate remotely.

Jenner originally enrolled at Andrews University (Mich.) in 2007 to study medicine and nutrition. However, a year into his studies he felt a call from God to ministry, prompting him to switch majors. Jenner graduated a few years later with a bachelor’s degree in theology.

At the 2015 North American Division Pastors’ Convention in Austin, Texas, Becerra met Pastor Orlando Rosales, whom he would later assist as associate pastor at the Baltimore Spanish church, bringing him to Chesapeake. Currently, Jenner Becerra serves as the district pastor of Dundalk, El Eden, La Esperanza, Highlandtown and Glen Burnie Spanish churches, and is joined in ministry with his wife, Oksana.
