Kornick Joins HR/Secretariat Departments
Kornick previously served as assistant director for Human Resources at the Columbia Union.

Chesapeake Conference welcomed Shannon Kornick to its Human Resources and Secretariat departments on Tuesday. She will serve as the new assistant director for Human Resources and executive assistant for Secretariat.
Kornick will fill the position currently held by Jenn Stefan. Stefan recently announced her family will be moving from the area later this year but will continue with the conference until May to ensure a smooth transition.
Kornick comes to Chesapeake Conference from the Columbia Union, where she served as assistant director for Human Resources. She brings over 18 years of experience working for the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
“We’re very excited to have Shannon join our Chesapeake office team,” says Andre Hastick, Chesapeake Conference executive secretary. “Her resume speaks for itself, as she has had over a decade of related experience and brings an attention to detail that will serve the Human Resources and Secretariat departments well. It’s always an added bonus when a longstanding Chesapeake member can join us in the mission by serving in a conferencewide capacity. God always provides the right people, at the right time.”
Kornick, a member of the Spencerville church, believes now is the right time to join the Chesapeake Conference staff.
“I’m so excited and blessed to be a part of the Chesapeake team,” Kornick says. “A few months ago, God planted a seed in my mind that I needed to grow in some way. So, I began praying God would show me His will and really make it clear. Well, He sure showed me in a very clear way exactly what He had in store!”
