Life in Christ Church Pathfinders serve community through food bank volunteer day
Club packs nearly 500 weekend meal kits for children in need

Story by Gershom Soire and Chesapeake Currents
The Life in Christ Church’s Lions Pathfinder Club recently put their faith into action, volunteering at a local food bank to pack weekend meal kits for children in the community who may not have access to food when school meals are unavailable.
Working together with focus and enthusiasm, the Pathfinders packed 496 weekend meal kits and contributed a combined 66 volunteer hours. Food bank staff were impressed not only by the volume of work accomplished, but by the club’s positive attitudes and willingness to serve, so much so that the food bank has already expressed interest in scheduling the Pathfinders for future volunteer opportunities.
For the Pathfinders themselves, the experience was as meaningful as it was productive. Many shared how much it meant to help others in a tangible way. Club leaders noted that the day reflected the heart of the Pathfinder pledge to be a servant of God and a friend to man.
