Martinsburg Church welcomes Jonathan Santana as associate pastor

Santana brings years of ministry experience to his new role.

Martinsburg Church in West Virginia welcomed Jonathan Santana as its new associate pastor on Sept. 14. Originally from Colombia, Santana brings experience as a Bible worker, pastor, and church planter.

“Jonathan has a warm love for people and has a natural gift for leadership. In the two weeks he’s been with us he is already connecting with people and helping with the mission of our church,” said David Livergood, Martinsburg Church senior pastor.

Santana holds a Bachelor’s in Theology from Washington Adventist University and recently earned a Master of Divinity from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University.

Santana’s ministry career includes church planting in Virginia and working as a Bible worker in Chesapeake Conference at the Washington Spencerville Spanish and Laurel Hispanic churches. Santana expressed his eagerness to serve the Martinsburg congregation.

“I believe the Lord placed me here at Martinsburg,” said Santana. “The church is vibrant, loving, and mission-oriented, and I’m excited to work alongside Pastor David Livergood, whose mentorship will help me grow as a minister.”
