Newly Formed District Welcomes Pastor

  • News

Javier Moreno will pastor a district of Hispanic churches on the Eastern Shore.

A recently created church district on the Eastern Shore welcomed a new pastor last Sabbath.

Javier Moreno was installed as the pastor of the Denton (Md.) Spanish, Milford (Del.) Spanish, and Cambridge (Md.) Spanish churches on April 16. Moreno was also installed as the associate pastor of the Seaford (Del.) Spanish Church.

The creation of the new district arrives as a result of recent growth on the Eastern Shore and the need for additional pastoral support after the planting of several new churches.

Moreno comes to the Eastern Shore from the Baltimore Spanish Church, where he served as a Bible worker.

“Pastor Moreno is a good visitor and strong with community services,” says Orlando Rosales, Chesapeake Conference Hispanic ministries director. “He’s great at giving Bible studies to people and is an awesome preacher and evangelist.”

Moreno is excited to begin his new ministry responsibilities.

“Today, I feel happy and grateful to God for the great honor and privilege of serving in His ministry on the Eastern Shore,” Moreno says. “Through community service and personal evangelism, we hope to reach the people with the good news of salvation. Our main purpose is for our district to be known as a district of love, unity, service, and evangelism.”
