Pathfinders shine at conference-level Pathfinder Bible Experience

  • News

18 teams from 11 churches participated in the Pathfinder Bible Experience at Washington Ghanaian Church on Feb. 10.

A spirited group of young Pathfinders from 11 different Chesapeake Conference congregations came together on Feb. 10, at the Washington Ghanaian Church in Columbia, Maryland, for the much-anticipated conference-level Pathfinder Bible Experience. The event tested teams on their knowledge of the biblical books of Joshua and Judges, showcasing their hard work and dedicated study.

Out of the 18 teams that participated, six advanced to the union-level event slated for March 9. The advancing teams hailed from the Atholton (Columbia, Md.), Ellicott City (Md.), Washington Ghanaian, and Westminster (Md.) churches, with Washington Ghanaian and Ellicott City each advancing two teams.

Kenia Reyes, youth and young adult ministries director for the Chesapeake Conference, highlighted the importance of the Pathfinder Bible Experience in encouraging young people to engage more deeply with the Bible. “The Pathfinder Bible Experience is an excellent way for our Pathfinders to study books from the Bible that they might not have taken the time to study before… We pray that they will fall in love with God’s Word so much that the habit continues even after the PBE is long gone,” Reyes said.
