Registration for Chesapeake Conference's 2024 Camp Meeting is now open.
Piersanti will be installed at Ellicott City Church on Dec. 15.
Matthew Piersanti has been named the next lead pastor of the Ellicott City (Md.) church and will be installed at the congregation on Dec. 16.
Piersanti currently serves as Pastor for Youth and Young Adults at the Spencerville (Silver Spring, Md.) church. He will fill the position created when former lead pastor John Rengifo became Chesapeake Conference’s ministerial director in September.
Prior to his ministry in the Chesapeake Conference, Piersanti previously pastored for 10 years in the Alberta Conference in Canada at the College Heights and Calgary Central churches.
“Pastor Piersanti possesses excellent pastoral skills and experience well-suited to lead the Ellicott City Church,” said Jerry Lutz, Chesapeake Conference president. “His commitment to the mission and ministry to which the Lord has called him is evident in his approach to pastoral leadership and vision casting. I am confident that he and his family will be greatly appreciated by both the church and community.”
Piersanti says he’s looking forward to joining his new congregation and partnering with members to minister to the community. “I’m excited to join a church community that has a rich tradition of community service and evangelism,” he said. “We are praying that God will continue to use ECC for a greater impact as we continue discipleship through leadership development. Additionally, it will be a joy to be a part of a church that has a fellowship meal together every Sabbath!”
Piersanti and his wife, Amy, have three sons.
