Planned Giving and Trust Services Department emphasizes importance of financial stewardship

The Chesapeake Conference Planned Giving and Trust Services Department (PGTS) presented a special seminar on wills and estate planning at New Hope Church on Feb. 15. The event was held in connection to the church’s “MoneyED” sermon series, which focused on rethinking our relationship with money.
Jerry Howard, assistant director of PGTS, led the seminar, highlighting the importance of estate planning, particularly for parents with young children. Howard emphasized how preparing a will is not just a financial decision but also an act of Christian stewardship—ensuring that loved ones are cared for and that resources can continue to support the church’s mission.
The Planned Giving and Trust Services Department offers estate planning services free of charge to assist Chesapeake Conference members in creating wills and planning for their futures. For more information, visit ccosda.org/pgts or contact Jerry Howard at jhoward@ccosda.org.
