Rengifo Named Lead Pastor at Ellicott City
Rengifo had been serving as an associate pastor.

John Rengifo began his new responsibilities this week as the lead pastor of the Ellicott City (Md.) church.
Rengifo, who joined the pastoral staff in March as an associate pastor, previously served in Chesapeake as an associate pastor at the Atholton church in Columbia, Md. He fills the vacancy left by Paulo Macena, who accepted a call to the North American Division.
“I am so pleased that Elder Regnifo has accepted the invitation to be the senior pastor of the Ellicott City church,” says Jerry Lutz, Chesapeake Conference president. “It is clear that the Lord has prepared and gifted him to lead this vibrant, growing congregation. I am looking forward to seeing what blessings lie ahead for the church and community under his very capable leadership.”
Rengifo is excited to continue serving the congregation in his new role and is thrilled by the church’s ongoing focus on evangelism and outreach.
“I’m excited about where Ellicott City Church is today and about its future,” Rengifo says. “We have many good and developing leaders. It wants to move forward with evangelism, community service, church planting, and many other forms of outreach. We are trusting God to do amazing things.”
