Ophelia Barizo published “Seeing God Through STEM” earlier this year.
Earlier this year, retired Chesapeake Conference STEM coordinator and educator Ophelia Barizo published a devotional book aimed at connecting scientific principles with biblical teaching. The book, “Seeing God Through STEM,” was published in July by WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan.
In the book, Barizo compiles 35 short devotionals, each designed to uncover the divine inspiration behind the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). “Seeing God Through STEM” reflects Barizo’s extensive background in STEM education and her life-long dedication to integrating faith into learning.
Barizo’s inspiration for this book stemmed from her experience in developing school worship talks that incorporated STEM concepts. Through her writing, she aspires to help readers deepen their connection with Jesus through an understanding and appreciation of STEM.
“Seeing God Through STEM” is currently available through the WestBow Press online store and on Amazon.
