Ricardo Cala Joins West Wilmington Pastoral Staff

Pastor Cala will serve as the associate pastor of the West Wilmington and Life in Christ churches, as well as the lead pastor of the Hope Community Church.

Ricardo Cala was installed as the new associate pastor of the West Wilmington church on August 7 during the Sabbath worship service at the northern Delaware congregation. Cala will also serve as the associate pastor of the Life in Christ church plant and as lead pastor of the Hope Community church.
 
“It has been a blessing to have him,” says Elvis Mogoi, senior pastor of the West Wilmington church. “He has integrated well into the community. The church has welcomed him, and they are looking forward to more fellowship with him in the upcoming days.”
 
Cala brings several years of pastoral ministry experience to the West Wilmington church, most recently serving as pastor for the Canaan Spanish, Frederick Spanish, Hagerstown Spanish, Charles Town Spanish, and Martinsburg Spanish churches in the western region of Chesapeake Conference. Cala previously pastored for the conference on the Eastern Shore.

“I’m extremely excited to work alongside Elder Mogoi,” says Cala, who says his experience with his new churches so far has been great. “I have not found churches but three new families of which I can already testify to becoming a member of.”
