Registration for Chesapeake Conference's 2024 Camp Meeting is now open.
Martinez will begin his new responsibilities on July 1.
Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) is set to welcome a familiar face to a new leadership role for the upcoming school year, as Robert Martinez, the current secondary vice principal, steps up to serve as the academy’s principal starting July 1.
Martinez, who has been an integral part of the SAA community since 2006, began his journey at the academy as a choir director and music teacher. Over the years, he’s also taught classes in Bible, broadcast journalism, and computers. Martinez has served as the academy’s secondary vice principal since 2022.
“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Martinez into his new role as principal of Spencerville Adventist Academy,” said Janesta Walker, Education superintendent for Chesapeake Conference. “His many years of dedicated service at SAA, his dedication to Adventist education, and his passion for Christ-centered leadership make him an excellent choice for this important position. I look forward to working with him as he leads our Spencerville students to ‘love to learn, live to serve, all for Christ.'”
Reflecting on his appointment, Martinez expressed gratitude for the opportunity to grow with the school over the past 17 years. He also emphasized his commitment to the academy’s mission, promising parents that SAA will remain dedicated to helping students meet Jesus, grow academically, and become equipped for service.
