Rocky Knoll Students Donate 60 Pounds of Legos to Children in Need

For the “Lucas Legos for Kids” service project, Rocky Knoll school (Martinsburg, Wv.) collected around 60 pounds of Lego toys to be a blessing to orphan children in need in the Congo. The special project is led by the International Children’s Care organization and began with a young boy named Lucas who wanted to donate Legos to those in need.

“Even though we are small, we feel we can be a light to our community and even the world,” says Melissa Baggett, Rocky Knoll school principal. “Each year, we participate in several community service projects and this year we decided to take on the challenge of collecting Legos for Lucas! … Students were very excited about this project because they could relate to it.”
