Seeds conference casts vision for church planting in new areas
Baptisms and testimonies highlight success of recent church plants

Chesapeake Conference hosted its annual Seeds church planting conference on Nov. 15-16 at Ellicott City Church, bringing together leaders, pastors, and church members for inspiration and training. This year’s speakers included Pavel Goia, editor of Ministry magazine; Tim Madding, director of the North American Division Evangelism Institute (NADEI); and Alex Rybachek, pastor of Niles Westside Church in Michigan.
“Seeds was fantastic,” said David Klinedinst, Chesapeake Conference Evangelism and Church Growth director. “We had a full church on Sabbath and celebrated two baptisms from the SALT church plant in Randallstown. The event encouraged leaders to return to their churches and consider planting new congregations in unentered areas.”
The Seeds conference is a vital part of the Chesapeake Conference’s 35×25 initiative, launched in 2019, which aims to plant 35 new churches across the conference by the end of 2025. To date, 26 churches have been planted toward that goal.
