Special Appeal for Adventist Education

The Chesapeake Conference has set aside Sabbath, August 22, as a Day of Prayer for Adventist Education. We encourage all of our congregations as they gather together and worship, whether it be online or in person, to lift up our Chesapeake students and teachers in prayer.

We are also designating the offering on Sabbath, August 22, as a Special Offering for Adventist Education to be shared with our Chesapeake schools. $100,000 has been pledged as matching gifts, and we are hoping members of Chesapeake will fully match those gifts to provide at least $200,000 in additional funds for our schools as they adjust to the new realities brought about by COVID-19. Loose offerings for Sabbath August 22, and offerings marked “Education Matching Funds” on tithe envelopes and online giving, will be used to directly support Adventist Education in Chesapeake.

Rick Remmers, Chesapeake Conference president, and Janesta Walker, superintendent of schools for the Chesapeake Conference, announce a special appeal for Adventist Education.
Thank you for your prayers and support, and we look forward to all the blessings that God has in store for us this coming school year.
